Are you 55+ and Looking to Volunteer?
If you’re retired, but looking to stay active, now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. Senator Kemp Hannon is reminding all retirees 55 and older that their wealth of wisdom can serve the community and future generations to come!
“It’s so important to keep our minds and bodies active as we get older,” said Ranking Member of the Senate Health Committee Senator Kemp Hannon. “What better way to achieve this goal than by giving back to our community on our journey to stay mentally and physically fit,” Hannon continued.
Senior Corps’ RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for people age 55 and older with nearly 500,000 volunteers across the country. As a RSVP volunteer, you can serve as much or as little as you desire and can choose how and where you want to serve. As an RSVP volunteer some of the opportunities include serving the homeless, mentoring or tutoring children, sharing legal or financial expertise, assisting victims of natural disasters, cleaning up the environment, leading fundraising efforts and much more.
